Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Requirements for Joining the Pakistani Army as a Captain through the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Program.

Science candidates

Minimum GPA of 2.5 in science subjects and at least 60% marks in their annual system

Arts candidates

Minimum GPA of 2.0 or 50% marks in arts subjects

Psychology candidates

Minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4, or 50% marks in the annual system. Preference is given to candidates with a Ph.D.

All candidates must have completed all education (matriculation to Master’s/Bachelor’s) as regular students and must not have received a third division in any level of education

Education officers

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in math, physics, computer science, political science, history, economics, English, Islamic studies, Arabic, management science, or geography/GIS

Law officers

Minimum LLB degree

Psychology officers

MSc in psychology

Remount Veterinary and Form officers (RV&F)

DVM or equivalent degree. Preference is given to candidates with an MSc (Hons) or M.Phil in a relevant discipline.
